Illustrations for a really awesome story by Edith Nesbith called 'The Last of the Dragons'

Read the story at: http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/The_Last_of_the_Dragons

  1. Its an interesting presentation. But isn't it more of a sketch? How does it get transformed to animation?

Sorry if my questions sound a bit immature types :). Got interested into 'transforming' a sketch into actual 'motion picture' after watching this interesting marathi movie called 'Harishchandrachi Factory' !

  2. Hi Anonymous

Your question is an interesting one, however, these particular sketches were done to be published in a book.

As for animation, one does a series of progressive sketches which are shot and displayed intermittently within a short space of time, so that an illusion of movement is perceived.. it's a bit difficult to explain in brief and maybe you'll enjoy reading about the process..

But do write if you'd like to chat more on this.

  3. Anjali, the dragon is sooooo cute! :)

  4. Hey Anuja thanks sooo much :)
